The Station Of Firasah
The Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, is reported to have said, "Beware of the firasah of the believer, for he sees with the light of Allah," then he recited the verse, ""Surely! In this are the signs for the mutawassimeen."
(Tirmidhi)
The firasah of the believer is always truthful.
I can't do justice to this answer never ever but a brief about what firasah is and many will not be surprised that they have this quality....
Firasah would be best translated as having deep foresight and insight into a situation or a person....
Firasah is what these days they call 'face reading' (physiognomy)
and knowing someone's natural characteristics just by looking at them and observing them.....
and knowing someone's natural characteristics just by looking at them and observing them.....
Firaasa is the ability to read people's body language and having a good intuition about the future on what's going to happen.....
Firasa is how a believer sees, hears, feels about a situation, they can make a decision about a situation with their knowledge and understanding of the situation of the surrounding....
It is as though you would prejudge a person when you meet him...
For example If a man walked into a islamic gathering with his cheat held high and he squeezed his way to the front,
We would presume he is prideful and ignorant based on his looks and actions...
We would presume he is prideful and ignorant based on his looks and actions...
A person who is always joking with lies attached to it we would come to recognise he has a weak character and he is a lier...
A believer does not waste his time speaking non stop and laughing all day long...
The believer remains silent for long periods of time and is always contemplating and reflecting within his/her self due to fear of committing sins by speaking excess and also in a state of worship asking The Lord for forgiveness...
This opens up a new sense and one sees the world differently as they have distant their self from the world and can look in to a situation with the application of Quran, Sunnah with the correct understanding of the deen along side the surrounding environment....
The believer sees the situation from a larger and broader perspective then a person who has weak eamaan or weak taqwa....
Firāsa (foresight)
Ilhām (Inspiration)
and Other Metaphysically Inspired Knowledge is a reality that many of us experience....
Ilhām (Inspiration)
and Other Metaphysically Inspired Knowledge is a reality that many of us experience....
Have you had a strong feeling about a situation before it happened?
Have you had a vision or dream that became true?
The difference between the layman’s experience of this and the experience of Ahlu-Allah (the people of Allah ) is that They are certain of their inspiration.
Here is what some of the great interpreters of the Qur'an said about it: Mujahid said it is "those who have visual acuity." Ibn `Abbas (r) said that it means "those who watch closely." Qatadah said that it means "those who learn the lessons." And Muqatil said that it means "those who reflect". There is no contradiction or apparent incompatibility amongst these interpretations.
Firasah is linked to three human organs: the eye, ear and heart. His eye examines the look and the signs, his ear examines the speech, the over expressions, oblique inferences and hints, content, logic and tone of voice. And his heart analyzes both what is seen and hear to perceive hidden thoughts of others. His analysis and examination of the interior compared to the exterior is like one who examines currency to see if it is counterfeit after examining the outside. It is also similar to Ahlul-Hadith (scholars who specialize in the knowledge of the hadith), who will read a hadith that has a sound isnad (chain of narrators) but upon examination of the matn (text of the hadith), it is found that it is a fabricated hadith.
Also after reading this please don't think you have firasa and go around judging every one and calling every one a spy and fake...
Don't fall into the trap of the shaytan...
Don't fall into the trap of the shaytan...
Keep your firasah to your self as some times you may be wrong...
And Allah knows best...
