What did Afghanistan give to the West

Farabi is generally known to be the "Second Teacher", after the first teacher, Aristotle.
Farabi's extensive knowledge, disection,  commentaries and evaluation of Aristotle earned him the
this title. He also invented new paradigms in philosophical thought (NeoPlatonism), moving away from Metaphysics to practice and his discovery of the limits of human knowledge based on his reflections on the First Cause (i.e. God) thus breaking away from Plato and Aristotle.

Avicenna (arabic: ibn Sina, the father of medicine), born at a later period,  similarly benefitted from Farabi's learning and fused his philosophy with a religious interpretation.

Their works were systematic in textual ordering facillatiting the study of their works more readily.

Although Avicenna "lost the battle" in acceptance of his Philosophy in th the Islamic world which was deemed extreme and contradictory to the fundamental  principles of Islam (see Ghazali, "
Incoherence of the philosophers") their framework was later taken on by the Christian West.

In the creation of the Moden Western civilization, these two were Pivotal.

Mohenjo-Daro, city of the Indus Valley

A very good detailed analyis of Mergarh, Mohenjo-Daro [1], city of the Indus Valley. Which starts it's life at aproximately 7000 BCE.

Thus Predating the later Indus Valley Civilization by a number of millennium by Michael Jansen, PhD.
The discovery of Mergarh Harrapan was relatively knew, a quote from the research article :

"The Harappan civilization, the world’s fourth great civilization after those of Egypt, Mesopotamia, and
China flourished in the valley of the Indus three thousand years ago"  [end citation]

"..the  largest city in the Indus valley area, revealing the emergence of techniques in architecture - mainly terrace construction - and in the crafts and farming which were used later in the Harappan cities. But the 3rd millennium BC is also marked by increasing contact and trade between the Indus Valley, Baluchistan, the countries of the Persian Gulf, eastern Iran, and Central Asia: from 2500 BC Mesopotamian texts refer to the importance of trade with eastern regions such as Dilmun (the Persian Gulf) and Meluhha (almost certainly the Indus Valley)" [end citation]

Poetry 2

Pain

Anger inside hasnt faded
With time i thought it possible
Childhood still haunts me
my faith still inside of me
Cannot escape what has scarred me
Color of my skin still confuses me

cannot suppress this rage
Each bomb that drops increases it
Women, children, screams rings inside of me whilst i sleep
Cannot sleep
Hear the cries, then again
Now i see him
One legged man
No father, many children
Still they laugh, from the Joy of what i don't know
Their innocence blinds this reality

World

Te fleeting nature of this life has dawned upon me
With age i have understood the short time we have left

I tred trough this land with Joy i do not feel
Love is what i seek, the part of me what is not filled

Politics

They say its for justice
For the greater good
They creat Mischief, yet speak of peace
Their speech eloquent while their hearts falter
They speak of peace, yet create war
Their hearts i do not believe
They are the liars, My Lord speaks the truth

Worship

To worship is hard, Wood amongst steel
i easily crumble, flake, when scathed
Weak, Vulnerable
Temptation looms before me
To be like steel i try

Who Do you think you are ? Arrogance of Man.

Questioning God .. What i have come to realise is the "hidden" arrogance of man.
Arrogance can be easily spotted, we often here people say he is arrogant or she is arrogant or the "Germans" or the "English" are arrogant .

Arrogance in the islamic context is closely associated with "Pride" (Arabic : Kibr)
Which is so blameworthy it can render someone to Hell.

To save us from this "Kibr" a close friend told me, always think of whoever you speak
to is better than you", a wise saying indeed !

What is the hidden arrogance i am taking of ? A new term coined ? This is the arrogance of not knowing your place in the world and in "Reality" Who you are in the Universe !

Are you in reality a spec, a dust, in the Universe, soon to be dust ?
Then Man can question God! Is that Fair God sends us to Hell ? Does this or That seem
Fair ?

Was it fair that God gave man life ?

When we question God is this a form of Insanity?, a Mortal, spec, dust, nothing in the Spectrum of the Solar system and Universe questioning God ..So who are we ?

Trinity and Thomas Aquinas

Sometimes it's hard getting a straight answer from a Christian in his reply to the question of "What does the Trinity mean ?"

Asking ten different Chrtistians the same question will give you ten different
interprettations. Some deny that Jesus is God, or part of God, Others will say he
is God outright and the Son of God ....

This confusion is typical of a man made philosophy in this case of St. Paul (Saul)

Let us see from Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica Volume 1 in his metaphor of Jesus
and God.

[Paraphrasing from Memory] he brings a similitude in explaining the Trinity, of Wood and the same wood that is burnt.

"They are the different yet one is from the other in essence"

Democracy and The Economic Crisis

A subtle observation never realised is the relationship between the
system of democracy and the economic crisis.

The greed, richness, pomp and drunkenness of the political elite should be
well known. No pauper would be at the head of a political party, Is this
how it should be?, that having money and power is one of the keys to leadership?

Now, we all know that the U.K. is in a generation of debt threatening the
very core of its financial Mechanism. So how did Democracy encourage this Crisis to occur. Very simply put, Votes were won and bought in the promises of jobs (public sector) i.e. Not "real" wealth creation but jobs created on the back of Tax Revenues and Loans.

The political parties were democratically under duress in "spending" with promises in order for votes to be gained and staying in power neglecting the ratio of debt
levels to GDP.

The Labour government benefited much from this spending being in power for over a decade. Would the "Other" Party of been any better ? I think not.

Righteous British or Wrath of the English

This article is an attempt at a historical perspective on the ethnic, cultural and philosophical role that Britain and/or the English have played in the  contribution of shaping the modern world..
What is the purpose of the blog article ? It is a simple frustration fueled article which has roots in the media, politicians and government stances in self-righteousness that i sometimes can't bear to hear. And a look at the side of the English from a personal perspective.

I so often perceive the British politicians and media acting in a self righteousness almost dictating morality and virtues to the masses whether internationally or locally. For me personally this draws similarities with the "age of the orientalist" at a time when the "Other" (mostly non-European) was demonized. From the article i want the English perspective on peoples and history to be re-examined and a hopefully through humility and acknowledgment of what the cultural realm of the British race and descendants have perpetrated so that mistakes of the past do not keep on reoccurring.

Secondly i hear many excuses for a lot of the "actions" be it from a historical or modern era being loose justification for overwhelming oppression's of the past. Many of the points listed in this Article are forgotten or lost in the historical dialogue common nowadays.

Only a limited set of Empire wars are listed due to the volume that would be required for any real justification in explanation. Since "Wars of Empire" are so often dismissed as a "whole as being  from a single adventure, I've attempted to dissect it so it occurs that it is not the case.

Just something to ponder, If the overseas trans-continental and trans-culture Empire is celebrated  are the wars from it celebrated and justified? Most if not all wars listed where in their respective times justified by the democratically elected politicians. So this begs the question, Is there something missing or lacking in understanding justice, attitude and behavior in  the realm of the English ?

For clarity I've split the sections into the aggression of the new world, aggression of Empire and selected aggression's in the modern era for the purpose of clarity.

Selected Aggression's in the Modern Era . 1945 - 2003

Mark Curtis charts the Britain's Foreign Policy [1] through declassified information .
Little is known about Britain's Role in sponsoring Terrorism/International aggression from 1945 onwards. Some of the subject matter covered in the book are listed below:

1947: Foreign office describes the middle east oil as "a Vital Prize for any power interested in world domination"

1951: Attlee Government begins covert operation to Overthrow iranian prime minister
Musadiq following his nationalisation of oil operations.

1952: Kenya, State of Emergency is declared, British Forces conduct human rights
atrocities, establish Nazi style concentration camps. Around 150,000 Africans die

1953: Britain Conducts Military intervention in Guiana against a Democratically elected government.
1956: Britain Invades Egypt to remove Nationalist president Nasser.

1961: US intervention in Vietnam, massive atrocities occur, Britain provides support in all areas.

1962: Covert operation in North Yemen, support for Royalist Rebels. Around
200,000 die in the War.

1965: Blood Bath in Indonesia, as Indonesian Armey moves against the communist Party, One
million people die, Britain supports the Indonesian Army effort in the slaughter.

1989: US invades Panama, Britain supports the invasion.

1991 : US and Britain establish not fly zones in Iraq with covert permanent bombing missions

1993: Rwanda genocide, Britain neglects action, helps reduce UN force affecting the prevention of the
genocide.

2000 : Russian forces destroy most of Grozny en-mass civilian deaths including ethnic
Russians. Robin Cook Asserts " He understood Russia's problems in Chechnya"

2002: Continuation of massive atrocities in Chechnya, Numerous Journalists also
mysteriously "assassinated" within Russia for speaking out against the atrocities.
Tony Blair asserts "It's important to understand the Russian perspective".

2002: Taliban offers full time monitoring of Bin laden via the OIC and Trial with evidence.
Proposals are rejected, Bombing ensues more people (civilians) die than in the September 11 attacks.

2003: War in Iraq, bypassing the UN security council and discarding the UN Weapons inspectors. Britain was probably the only sole power who had the ability to influence the
decision not to go to war.
Media instrumental in the PA department in getting the "Show" on the road

Aggression in The New World

America c1600  +
- Native Indians ethically cleansed by the incoming British.
- Transatlantic slave trade, the Most Brutal, en-masse movement, enslavement and killing of people in History. Britain is one of the most prolific Slave trading countries, benefits the most in Manpower and Monetary amounts.
- African-Americans eventually gain their freedom.
- As well as other Ethnic groups, they are fourth class citizens in their own country.
- 1960's, Black Panthers form, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X instrumental in winning rights for the African American communities.

Freemasonry
- Britain is chief in "lodge creation"

Australia frontier Wars - 1790 - 1930~ C.E.
- 20,000 native Australasian s die in the wars against the British European Settlers.
= Aborigines are to this day outcasts in their Native Land.

South Africa (Boer Wars)
- Concentration camps setup for for Boer prisoners.

New Zealand - c1864 C.E.
- Native population (Maori and others) are eventually defeated for the expansion of British settlers.

Canada
- Chemical warfare, poisoning of the Native population through infected materials are carried our by the British.

South Africa
- Appalling racism and the ensuing apartheid era. Queen Victoria is Crown of the state, parades during Apartheid in the streets of South Africa.

Aggressions of Empire

China./Opium Wars 1839 C.E.
- Britain wins control through aggression of being the biggest transcontinental drug dealer in controlling and selling Opium.

India
- After 60 years of "chipping away" Britain succeeds in dividing and Ruling India. Thousands
die, India loses her Majesty and reduced from being an Economical power to a povery stricken
state post independence.

Central Asia
- Persia "defending its borders" is faced with constant interference and political machinations. Afghanistan is invaded three times, an occupying force of 50,000 are dispatched for a population of 1-3 million people. Mass killings in the name of the Crown and protecting
possible Russian aggression against The British.

Africa
- Africa is carved up, Britain benefits from a huge slave market, Natural resources are
exploited by the European powers.

Present : Has anything changed ? After an Era of Violent Racism 1970-1990 It's my opinion that there is a problem with British culture and media and is the demonization (and creation of  a culture of hate)
an ethnic minority "The Muslims" who, similar to the Jews in a bygone era, are sidelined the for the troubles of the world.
