Creation of Afghanistan and it's relationship to Shi'ism

If one were to reflect upon the creation of Afghanistan one would come to the conclusion :

1.) It was a sectarian matter
2.) The defeat of the Safawid dynasty effectively ended the spread of Shi'ism to Central and South Asia.

Something i must say in my opinion overlooked (?) by modern scholarship and Sunni Islam. 

Love struck

Words of comfort for lovesick people from the great doctor of the heart, Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him):

"If there is no way for the lover to reach his beloved, either because it is not divinely decreed for him, or because of some shar‘i impediment, or both, then this is an insurmountable problem. Part of the remedy is to make himself lose hope and despair (of ever reaching his beloved), because when one loses hope in something, he will be relieved of worrying about it and will stop paying attention to it.

If the sickness of love continues even though he has given up hope, then this is a sign that he has developed some serious psychological problems. In that case he should move on to another remedy, which is to address his mind and think rationally, because it is known that being emotionally attached to that which one has no hope of attaining is a kind of insanity; the one who is afflicted with that is like one who falls in love with the sun and thinks constantly of climbing up to it and running in its orbit with it. Such a person is regarded as insane by all rational people."

Salafism/Wahabism Problems

Just a few issues from my long term association with Salafism/Wahabism. Note, this is just a few points ..... Although generally i still believe that in terms of core Aqeedah that Salafism has done a great deal in clarification and truthfulness.This is not an attack on Scholars or people perse because Allah is the judge this is just a personal account of my feelings. And i love all Muslims and Scholars of lsaam but no one is perfect and we all seek our truth.


Wahdatul wujud - Misconceptions on Ibn-Arabi's thought, again not explaining to the masses sufficiently, either/or in its refutations.

Praying With Hands to the sides - Misconception on Malki Fiqh and the Amal of Medina and affecting Unity of the Muslims.

Creation of Saudi- Promoted as Non rebellion against the Caliphate although contrary to the facts.

The "Mawlid" - Not explaining the prophets Birthday in a context
of "Ibn Taymiyan" Framework sufficiently

Fatwas - Incorrect/contradictory fatwas propagated. Nowadays changing fatwas in response to external pressures and realization of reality.

Unity/Brotherhood - Promoting disunity, changing frameworks, and "cultlsm" rationale and dubious fatwas on foreign policies.

Ibn Taymiyah

"Ibn Taymiyah also points out the close relationship between belief and action, which provides a connection
between the physical and metaphysical worlds. The mutakallimum who discuss faith in abstract terms, miss the
the practical elements which for, part of religion.  It is not a coincidence he [ibn Tayamiyah] argues
that the prophets began their call to religion through worship and love of God rather than through
rational proofs."

A quote from ibn Taymiyah and his times pg. 93, from Majmu'at Tafsir.


This is similar to what as Karen Armstrong observes from Jasper, in that the Axial peoples attained
God Consciousness through acts (deeds) rather than from the top down approach of rational proofs to satisfy the soul.

Innocence of Muslims part 2

The recent film controversy "Innocence of Muslims" involving the disgusting forgeries against the Prophet Mohammad and Islam was not NOT banned under the current president of the United states of America under the (almost divine entrusted) constitutional principle of  "Freedom of speech"

What is the problem with this ?

Is is an issue regarding the Freedom of speech? Rather the problem is  a moral and philosophical issue.

Freedom of speech has Limits, despite the apparent Facade. You are not "Free" to say what you want since you maybe threatened by arrest of "Hate crimes", "Racism" or even "Terrorism" just to give you a few examples.

So, freedom of speech has limits, but these limits have not penetrated into "Defaming God and his prophets" At least the prophets of mass recognized religions. So again i state this is a moral and philosophical deficiency in U.S. or democracy that race, sexuality, politics, is held in higher esteem than God and the  best creation of Earth,  his prophets and messengers. Who are not protected by Law from the tongues of devils.

A) That we (Muslims) should take the moral high ground

B) That it's not befitting of a civilization to mock and be derogatory in this way, promoting a clash of civilizations

C) That there are limits in speech in every context that we shouldn't cross, e,g, insulting a teacher in school you would be kicked out
