On the issue of Identity

historically peoples would tie themseleves into the locality or province they occupied, in the days of "Empires" The description of ones place was fundemental in giving the Identity of a person ..

"Baghdadi, Khwarizmi, Bukhari" outlines the classical period of peoples
identifying themselves with the area that they occupied... Tribal names are also a marker of
identity where "the World" is a limited non-Global sphere ....

The development of the (European ideal) Nation-State and Nationalism gave identity a new twist ..
Peoples were culturally conditioned to adopt the "Nation" created loosely created on ethnic lines ...

Edward said commented on the issue of identity, "That it is like Cotton Wool" ... i.e. Easily changed ..

The New World Order has heralded The American, New-Zealander, Canadian ....

Thus according to the principles of the "New World Order" Calling oneself "British"
at the same time being a Non-Native is surely a corect one ?
