Lex Hixon on Islam

Lex Hixon aptly reminds us of how uneducated many of us in the West are concerning the Qur'an and its impact, he writes:

"Neither as Christians or Jews, nor simply as intellectually responsible individuals, have members of Western Civilisation been sensitively educated or even accurately informed about Islam…even some persons of goodwill who have gained acquaintance with Islam continue to interpret the reverence for the prophet Muhammad and the global acceptance of his message as an inexplicable survival of the zeal of an ancient desert tribe. This view ignores fourteen centuries of Islamic civilisation, burgeoning with artists, scholars, statesmen, philanthropists, scientists, chivalrous warriors, philosophers…as well as countlessmen and women of devotion and wisdom from almost every nation of the planet. The coherent world civilisation called Islam, founded in the vision of the Qur’an, cannot be regarded as the product of individual and national ambition, supported by historical accident."

Was Hitler wrong about Race ?

In his early attempt at creating the super human, Hitler believed that the Supreme "Aryan" was physically aesthetic and borne from the single white race. So he measured (and excluded) those who fell into his principles.

Since our knowledge of DNA has improved it has emerged that Hitler was right in a way. There is a genetic superior peoples, though he would be shocked to find out that they are the "mixed races". The principle being that the more genetically mixed you are the more genetically superior you tend to be. So taking two distant races, one West European and One Central African you indeed increase the "hetrozygosity" of the individual. Thus the ability to combat diseases is more efficient than one drawn from a single DNA pool (homozygos).

Wikepdia defined Zygosity as >

Zygosity is the degree of similarity of the alleles for a trait in an organism. If both alleles are the same, the organism is homozygous for the trait. If both alleles are different, the organism is heterozygous for that trait. If one allele is missing, it is hemizygous, and, if both alleles are missing, it is nullizygous.

Alpha, Omega and the rest ....

Did you know the Greek Alphabet much used within Mathematical symbolism is actually derived from Phoenician (Semitic speaking Mediterranean peoples, "black people" for you right wingers and Australians) script, the origin of Greek writing Proper .....

Carthage was a much revered civilization and one that was much admired by the Greeks ..

What did Afghanistan give to the West

Farabi is generally known to be the "Second Teacher", after the first teacher, Aristotle.
Farabi's extensive knowledge, disection,  commentaries and evaluation of Aristotle earned him the
this title. He also invented new paradigms in philosophical thought (NeoPlatonism), moving away from Metaphysics to practice and his discovery of the limits of human knowledge based on his reflections on the First Cause (i.e. God) thus breaking away from Plato and Aristotle.

Avicenna (arabic: ibn Sina, the father of medicine), born at a later period,  similarly benefitted from Farabi's learning and fused his philosophy with a religious interpretation.

Their works were systematic in textual ordering facillatiting the study of their works more readily.

Although Avicenna "lost the battle" in acceptance of his Philosophy in th the Islamic world which was deemed extreme and contradictory to the fundamental  principles of Islam (see Ghazali, "
Incoherence of the philosophers") their framework was later taken on by the Christian West.

In the creation of the Moden Western civilization, these two were Pivotal.

Mohenjo-Daro, city of the Indus Valley

A very good detailed analyis of Mergarh, Mohenjo-Daro [1], city of the Indus Valley. Which starts it's life at aproximately 7000 BCE.

Thus Predating the later Indus Valley Civilization by a number of millennium by Michael Jansen, PhD.
The discovery of Mergarh Harrapan was relatively knew, a quote from the research article :

"The Harappan civilization, the world’s fourth great civilization after those of Egypt, Mesopotamia, and
China flourished in the valley of the Indus three thousand years ago"  [end citation]

"..the  largest city in the Indus valley area, revealing the emergence of techniques in architecture - mainly terrace construction - and in the crafts and farming which were used later in the Harappan cities. But the 3rd millennium BC is also marked by increasing contact and trade between the Indus Valley, Baluchistan, the countries of the Persian Gulf, eastern Iran, and Central Asia: from 2500 BC Mesopotamian texts refer to the importance of trade with eastern regions such as Dilmun (the Persian Gulf) and Meluhha (almost certainly the Indus Valley)" [end citation]

Poetry 2

Pain

Anger inside hasnt faded
With time i thought it possible
Childhood still haunts me
my faith still inside of me
Cannot escape what has scarred me
Color of my skin still confuses me

cannot suppress this rage
Each bomb that drops increases it
Women, children, screams rings inside of me whilst i sleep
Cannot sleep
Hear the cries, then again
Now i see him
One legged man
No father, many children
Still they laugh, from the Joy of what i don't know
Their innocence blinds this reality

World

Te fleeting nature of this life has dawned upon me
With age i have understood the short time we have left

I tred trough this land with Joy i do not feel
Love is what i seek, the part of me what is not filled

Politics

They say its for justice
For the greater good
They creat Mischief, yet speak of peace
Their speech eloquent while their hearts falter
They speak of peace, yet create war
Their hearts i do not believe
They are the liars, My Lord speaks the truth

Worship

To worship is hard, Wood amongst steel
i easily crumble, flake, when scathed
Weak, Vulnerable
Temptation looms before me
To be like steel i try

Who Do you think you are ? Arrogance of Man.

Questioning God .. What i have come to realise is the "hidden" arrogance of man.
Arrogance can be easily spotted, we often here people say he is arrogant or she is arrogant or the "Germans" or the "English" are arrogant .

Arrogance in the islamic context is closely associated with "Pride" (Arabic : Kibr)
Which is so blameworthy it can render someone to Hell.

To save us from this "Kibr" a close friend told me, always think of whoever you speak
to is better than you", a wise saying indeed !

What is the hidden arrogance i am taking of ? A new term coined ? This is the arrogance of not knowing your place in the world and in "Reality" Who you are in the Universe !

Are you in reality a spec, a dust, in the Universe, soon to be dust ?
Then Man can question God! Is that Fair God sends us to Hell ? Does this or That seem
Fair ?

Was it fair that God gave man life ?

When we question God is this a form of Insanity?, a Mortal, spec, dust, nothing in the Spectrum of the Solar system and Universe questioning God ..So who are we ?
